The lorries of the company ZIS were based on a license of the American company Autocar. Two and three-axle models with 3 tons to 4 tons payload were made. They proved as durable, persistent and cross-country mobile under Russian road conditions. The three-axle lorry ZIS-6 was manufactured only in small quantities. Among other things, it was used as carrier vehicle for the Stalinorgel.
