This ZIS lorry is a ZIS-12 – a variant of the ZIS-5 with low platform and lengthened wheelbase. Usually, it was equipped with anti aircraft guns or searchlights. It is unknown if the field kitchen superstructure originates from a Soviet or a German constructor. This ZIS-12 was photographed in the station Brucka at Christmas in 1941. The ZIS-12 kitchen car belonged to a Luftwaffe unit which was on the way to Sicily.
