Altogether 3,250 exemplars of the ZIS-16 omnibus were manufactured from 1938 to 1941. This omnibus had 32 seats and was quite modern looking for a Soviet design.
This ZIS-16 omnibus was used by a unit of the Wehrmacht, too. In this case, it was 3. Infanterie Division (mot) which was later destroyed in Stalingrad.
