BMW 315 Kübelwagen

The BMW 315 Kübelwagen was manufactured from 1934 to 1937. The 1934 model is - like the commercial BMW 315 - identifiably by the six ventilation slide bars. The illustrated 1935 model had the same ventilation louvres like the BMW 309 model 1935. Most probably, only Kfz. 1 were made of these BMW 315 models.

Around 1936, the BMW 315 got the typically shaped gratings of the BMW 319 - but without the garnish mouldings which were typically for the BMW 319 -  which can be seen in this and the next photo. The illustrated Kfz. 1 based on a BMW 315 had a car body of the company Karmann.

Because production of the BMW 309 Kübelwagen was ceased at the end of 1935, Kfz. 2 were also made based on the BMW 315 beginning in 1936.
