Universal Carrier MK II
resp. gepanzerter MG-Träger Br. 731(e) & 732(e)

The Universal Carrier was made in Great Britain by Aveling-Barford, Ford, Sentinel, Thornycroft and Wolseley. In addition, it was manufactured by Ford in Canada, in Australia and in New Zealand. This captured Universal Carrier was used to recover a Henschel type 40 S 2. The vehicle still had the original markings.

About 57,000 vehicles of all variants were made until the end of war. Captured vehicles were partly converted to anti tank vehicles and demolition vehicles. This Universal Carrier was captured and used by a German paratrooper unit. (Photo: German federal archive via Wikimedia Commons; License: Creative Commons BY-SA-3.0-gb)
