In total 572 exemplars of the Mercedes type 24/100/140 PS were made from 1924 to 1926. After the fusion of the Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft with Benz & Cie. to the Daimler-Benz AG in 1926, the type 24/100/140 PS was renamed to Mercedes-Benz type 630. Further 508 exemplars were made until 1929. The Reichswehr got some vehicles of this type, too. The illustrated vehicle belonged to Kraftfahr-Abteilung 5.
