According to the K.St.N. 432 (Behelf) Batterie 10,5 cm Gebirgshaubitzen 40 (zu 4 Geschützen) from 2nd April 1942, each four Anhänger (1 achs.) schmalspurig - trailer (1 axle) narrow-gauged - (Sd. Ah. 46) were available per battery. The ammunition section was alowed to have further eight trailers of that type. At that time, the trailer was still not officially introduced. With the Sd. Ah. 46, the ammunition of the 10,5 cm Gebirgshaubitze 40 was transported. It could be towed by pack animals or also from the kleines Kettenkraftrad (Sd. Kfz. 2).
