Only a few exemplars of the Funkmastkraftwagen (Kfz. 311) mit Einheitsfahrgestell für l. Lkw. - radio mast motor vehicle (Kfz. 311) with standard chassis for light lorries - were made. Most probably, it should replace the corresponding Kfz. 301 based on the Mercedes-Benz Typ LG 3000 in the light directional radio squads.

The Funkmastkraftwagen (Kfz. 311) was used to built up a 30 meters high telescope radio mast for a directional radio system.
