Only 1,850 exemplars of the BMW R 6 were made in 1937. The R 6 had the same frame like the R 5 but it it was propelled by a 600 ccm engine with a power of 18 HP.
The BMW R 6 was driven as solo motorcycle and with sidecar. Because of the low production numbers, this model was only rarely used by the Wehrmacht.
