Wanderer W 24

The Wanderer W 24 was manufactured as competition model to the Mercedes Benz type 170 V from 1937 to 1940. It differed from the similar Wanderer W 23 by its shorter wheelbase and its shorter engine bonnet.

Besides the illustrated two door cabriolet there were two and four door limousines and cabriolet- limousines. Note the one piece bumper. This Wanderer W 24 two door limousine belonged to Panzerjäger Abteilung 171 of 71. Infanterie Division.

The touring car was mainly procured by public authorities. At their insistence, the front doors were also attached at the front on later serial models. The illustrated W 24 touring car belonged to the 26. Panzer Division and was photographed at Eastern in France in the year 1943.
