Wanderer W 23

The Wanderer W 23 was manufactured from 1937 to 1941. The bumper is a good distinguishing mark to the Wanderer W 24. The W 24 had a single piece bumper with attached number plate while the W 23 had a two piece bumper with space for the number plate in front of the radiator grille. Other car body modifications were a four door limousine and a  five door estate car.

Many requisitioned cabriolets were converted to makeshift Kübelwagen. Primarily, the normal seats were replaced with Kübelsitze and the doors were removed and replaced by canvas doors. The military equipment was completed by a jerry can and a Nachtmarschgerät on this Wanderer W 23 makeshift Kübelwagen.
