The Nachrichtenkraftwagen - signals motor vehicle - (Kfz. 15), abbreviated Nachr. Kw. (Kfz. 15), mit Fahrgestell des m. Pkw. (o) - with chassis of the medium passenger car (commercial) - was made on chassis from Horch (830 R), Stoewer (M 12 RW) and Wanderer (W 11 10/50 PS, W 11 12/60 PS). The large Gerätekasten - equipment box - at the rear of the car body and the Lager für Rückentrage - mountings for a carrying frame - on the front mudguards were typical for the Nachr. Kw. (Kfz. 15). The soldier poses with the likewise typical zweiteiligen Drahtgabel - two piece wire-forc.









Beginning around 1937, the Nachr. Kw. (Kfz. 15) was exclusively procured based on the Einheitsfahrgestells für m. Pkw. - standard chassis for medium passenger car. The typical Lager für Rückentrage were used as mountings for a Rückentrage with a cable reel for 300 m of heavy field cable.

To the left of it, a Gepäckgalerie mit Lattenrost - baggage gallery with slatted frame - for the tornister packs of the crew was located.









This Nachrichtenkraftwagen (Kfz. 15) was based on a Einheitsfahrgestell für m. Pkw. Typ 40. Note the spare wheel stored inside of the car body which can be seen through the missing driver’s door.
