The Anhänger (1 achs.) für Abschleppzwecke - trailer one axle for towing purposes - (Sd. Ah. 14) could not be identified without doubt until now. According to various K.St.N. it was used by Kfz. Abschlepp-Gruppen and -Zügen - motor-vehicles towing groups and platoons. The Kfz. Abschleppkommando (Behelf) - motor vehicle towing detachment (makeshift) - equipped with civilian equipment had so-called Schleppachsen - towing dollies - in comparable position. The illustrated type of a towing dolly can often be seen in photos with recovery-scenes of the Wehrmacht. Most probably, it is the mentioned Sd. Ah. 14.
