The Backanhänger (Sd. Ah. 106) - a bakery trailer - could be easily distinguished from the older, more oval Sd. Ah. 105 by its angular profile. Per stove, 160 breads could be baked in two hours.

A bakery company had five bakery trailers. With these trailers, about 9,600 breads could be baked per day. Nearly one ton of firewood was needed. These Backanhänger (Sd. Ah. 106) belonged to 1. Kavallerie Division.
