Landescheinwerfer (Gl 1500) (Anh. 322/2)

The Landescheinwerfer - landing searchlight - (Gl 1500) (Anh. 322/2) was used for illumination of  runways or landing strips. A Beleuchtungsgerät für Landebahnbefeuerung Satz A - illumination device for landing stripe illumination set A - and the corresponding devices set Drahtfernschaltung zum Beleuchtungsgerät für Landebahnbefeuerung - wire remote control for illumination device for landing stripe illumination - could be carried along. A battery charging rack for the charging of the batteries of 14 Einheitspanzerlampen - standard lights ? - and 4 Sammler - batteries - 2,4 NC 7 was installed in the trailer. The Landescheinwerfer Gl 1500 with two 30° diffuser lenses with each one 750 W 24 V incandescent lamp was positioned in the anterior part of the trailer. For operation, the box body roof was tilt up and the searchlight was errected by the use of a cable winch.
