In 1902, the Rapid Motor Vehicle Company was founded by Max Grabowski. This company was taken over by General Motors in 1909. On the international car show in New York in 1912, GMC Truck was introduced. Since then, commercial motor vehicles were manufactured. Above all, Belgium and France procured larger numbers of GMC lorries for their armies.
