About 98,300 exemplars of the Dodge WC-51 were manufactured from 1942 to 1945. The vehicle had a small platform and a payload of about 750 kg. Many of these vehicles were delivered to the Soviet Union. The illustrated Dodge WC-51 was captured by a unit of the Wehrmacht. The photo was made on the eastern front in March 1944.
