After successful trials with the prototypes Bantam MK 1 and MK 2, Bantam manufactured altogether 2,574 vehicles of the serial model Bantam BRC 40 in 1941. Despite the successful troop trials, the army demanded the Willys MB. About the half of the produced vehicles was delivered to the British Army, a further large allotment went to the Soviet Union. The illustrated Bantam BRC 40 was captured by a German unit in the Soviet Union.
