KhTZ-T2G

The KhTZ-T2G crawler tractor was the wood-gas propelled variant of the agricultural crawler tractor SKhTZ-NATI-1TA. It was manufactured at the Kharkov tractor plant, exclusively. This KhTZ-T2G was used as towing vehicle by a motorised unit of the Wehrmacht which was stuck on a muddy Russian road.

This KhTZ-T2G was also used to tow an overwhelmed German lorry. Such usages by the Wehrmacht were often only temporary. The troop preferred tracked-tractors with normal drive.
