In total 1,275 exemplars of the Stalinetz S-2 were manufactured from 1939 to 1942. 383 vehicles were lost in combat until September 1942. Therefore, the Wehrmacht met these vehicles only rarely. These Stalinetz S-2 and STZ-3 full-tracked tractors were captured in good condition.
