About 4,000 exemplars of the Guy Quad Ant were manufactured from 1938 to 1944. It was propelled by a 60 HP petrol engine and had all-wheel drive. The vehicles with closed superstructure were used as artillery tractor by the British army. The illustrated vehicle was used by a anti-interference squad of the Technische Nothilfe (TeNo) - a technical emergency service. The TeNo was associated to the police and therefore used a Pol registration number.
