The Albion BY 1 was manufactured from 1938 to 1940. From 1940 to 1941, the Albion BY 3 was made. They were almost identical, outwardly. The BY 1 was propelled by a 64 HP four-cylinder engine while the BY 3 was propelled by a 80 HP six-cylinder engine.

This Albion BY 1 resp. BY 3 was captured by 5. Staffel of Jagdgeschwaders 52. The photo was made in Calais in 1940.

The Albion BY3 3 ton bridging lorries were made for the transportation of pontoons. In the photo, one can see several of these vehicles on a rail transport. A German engineer unit will have been pleased, surely.
