The Phänomen Granit 1500 A had single wheel arrangement on all axles contrary to the Phänomen Granit 1500 S. Also typical were the massive wheel hubs and the gear on the front axle.

Beginning in 1944, the Phänomen Granit 1500 S/A had the Holzfahrerhaus - driver’s cab made of wood and fibreboard. The front mudguards were simplified and the rear mudguards were omitted. Towards the end of war, the spare wheel was relocated in front of the radiator.
