The NSU 601 TS was manufactured with various modifications from 1930 to 1939. It differed only in detail from the NSU 501 TS, for example the 592 ccm engine had larger cooling ribs.
This NSU 601 TS was used by a unit of the Reichswehr. The machine was unicoloured in Feldgrau RAL 6006. The engine had an output of 14, later 16 HP.
