The three-axle 1.5 ton lorry Magirus M 206 was developed in 1933. 1,080 exemplars were manufactured from 1934 to 1938. The base variant with platform was designated leichter geländegängiger Lastkraftwagen, offen (o) - light cross-country lorry, open (commercial) - by the Wehrmacht. The shown vehicle was used by a tank unit.

Vehicles with platform were relatively rare. This vehicle was converted to a field kitchen lorry. Note the holders for the sand-tracks on the dropsides.

This Magirus M 206 was converted to an anti-aircraft vehicle by adding a Zwillingslafette 36. normally, smaller vehicles were used for this purpose. (Photo: German federal archive via Wikimedia Commons; License: Creative Commons BY-SA-3.0-gb)
