The successor model of the Krupp L 6,5 N 62 / LD 6,5 N 42 - the Krupp L 6,5 N 262 / LD 6,5 N 242 - had a new and now rather angular radiator grille. It was propelled by either a six-cylinder petrol or a four-cylinder diesel engine with a power of each 110 HP.

The L 6,5 N 262 with petrol engine was a rare vehicle because the diesel engine of the LD 6,5 N 242 was more economical. Many carters ordered driver’s cabs and superstructures according to their own wishes. For example, this vehicle had received a more elegant driver’s cab.

The 6.5 tons Krupp lorries differed from the lighter types - among other things - by the typical deepening’s in the bumper. This one had a different driver’s cab, too. Possibly it was a driver’s cab for long-distance traffic.
