The Krupp LD 3 H 62, which was propelled by a 80 HP diesel engine, was introduced for the first time in 1939. Because Krupp was only intended for the production of heavier lorries, this type was only made in small numbers. The illustrated vehicle with the license WH-124961 had the open standard driver’s cab of the Wehrmacht.

Compared to the competition models with diesel engine, the Krupp LD 3 H 62 looked a bit clumsy but it had comparable performance data. This photo of a Krupp LD 3 H 62 of the Luftwaffe with production-line drivers’ cab was taken on the east front.
