According to various K.St.N., the l. gl. Lkw. was destined as field kitchen lorry. Depending on the size of the unit, either a kleiner Feldkochherd - small field range - 12 respectively 14 or a großer Feldkochherd - large field range - 11 respectively 13 could be mounted.

Besides the underframe for the field range made of steel beams, the extensions for the hoops and the Kasten Zubehör und Lebensmittel - box for accessories and food - visible behind the cook belonged to the equipment sets of the field ranges.
