The Mercedes-Benz Type 8/38 PS was manufactured from 1926 to 1929. After the engine was reworked, this model was offered under the designation Stuttgart 200 until 1933. The Mercedes- Benz Type Stuttgart 260 with the stronger 2.6 litres engine was made from 1929 to 1934. Outwardly, these two models are hard to differentiate.
