Büssing Type VI GLn

The Saxony state police procured large personnel carriers based on the low floor chassis Büssing Typ VI GLn. The illustrated vehicle is most probably a vehicle of the initial series.

This is most probably a vehicle of a later series of the Büssing type VI GLn police personnel carrier. The more modern designed louvres were now arranged in two rows. The vehicle already belonged to the Wehrmacht.

Not clarified is if this police personnel carrier was based on a Büssing type VI GLn chassis. The front axle which was located more to the back could point to the successor model Büssing-NAG type 80 N. This vehicle belonged most probably to the Wehrmacht, too. Anyway, the men on the vehicle wore Wehrmacht uniforms.
