From 1936 to 1938, 137 exemplars of the Büssing-NAG type KV and 521 exemplars of the KD were made. It was propelled by either a 100 HP petrol (KV) or diesel (KD) engine. The KV was made for export and had all-wheel drive. The Wehrmacht used only the KD type.
The bumper with two wide openings, the protective grille in front of the radiator and the ventilation dampers in the sides of the engine bonnet were characteristic features of the Büssing-NAG type KV/KD.
Mainly the Büssing-NAG type KD was used as m. gl. Lkw., off. (o) - medium cross-country lorry, open (commercial). The lorry in the illustrated photo is a m. gl. Lkw., off. (o) für Betriebsstoff und Gerät - for fuels and equipment.
