The heavy sidecar combination BMW R 75 was manufactured from 1941 to 1944. With an engine size of 750 ccm it could reach a power of 26 HP. This photo of four BMW R 75 sidecar combinations was made at the Gulf of Finland on 15th April 1942. The motorcycles belonged to 5. Gebirgs Division.

The propelled sidecar of the R 75 allowed the driver to get out of such a situation under one’s own steam. Note the raised exhaust pipe which was typical for the BMW R 75.
