BMW R 11

In the class of the 750 ccm motorcycles, the BMW R 11 was manufactured from 1929 to 1934. Mainly it was used as heavy sidecar combination. Single exemplars were used as solo motorcycle. This photo illustrates that the fundamental principles of the Kradschützen troop were already developed by the Reichswehr.

So, the BMW R 11 was the basic equipment of the newly created Kradschützen units. The lower photo was taken during the occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1938. The location is the place opposite to the Old Castle in Datschitz (Dacice)
