The DKW RT 3 PS was manufactured from 1936 to 1940. In total, 61,850 machines left the factory. The 98.2 ccm one-cylinder engine had an output of 3 HP. Also the Wehrmacht procured several machines of this type. In the original photo of this cutout, not less than 42 DKW RT 3 PS are visible arrayed side by side. The photo was made in Wünsdorf in the prewar time.
