Unic CG 26 / CG 26 L

The heavy duty lorry Unic CD 2 for a payload of about 7.5 to 10 tons was made from 1932 to 1940 in different models and with different wheelbases. There was also a version of this type with three axles, the Unic CD 3.

This Unic CD 2 tank lorry originated most probably from the French Army. After it was taken over by the Wehrmacht, is was used by a ground unit of the Luftwaffe. Beginning in 1939, a version propelled by a wood-gas generator was offered, the Unic CG 26.
