Panhard was the world’s oldest automobile company. The first Panhard vehicles were built under the brand name Panhard & Levassor in Paris in 1890. In the years before World War I, luxury passenger cars were made. The production was continued after World War I. Besides passenger cars, lorries and armoured vehicles were manufactured. Later, approximately 1,400 lorries were manufactured for the Wehrmacht.
