The Danish vacuum cleaner producer P. A. Fisker started with the development of a motorcycle around 1914. The first motorcycle was finished in 1919. The name Nimbus was chosen as brand name for the production line. Typical for the Nimbus was the four-cylinder engine and the Cardan drive. The type I was mainly produced for the civilian sector but the type II was mainly delivered to the postal service, the police and the army.
