The Skoda type 404 D was made from 1930 to 1941 while the type 406 D was made from 1934 to 1942. The type 404 D was propelled by a four-cylinder diesel engine and the type 406 D by a six-cylinder diesel engine. The illustrated lorry is a Skoda 404 D. Because of the used six-cylinder diesel engine, the type 406 D had a longer engine bonnet.
