A single series of 129 vehicles of the mittlere gepanzerte Beobachtungskraftwagen (Sd. Kfz. 254) – a medium armoured observation vehicle – was made. Those vehicles were mainly used by motorised artillery units.
The rear view enables a good overview of the construction of the vehicle. The construction was too complicated and vulnerable.
