The Leichttraktor, previously designated Kleintraktor, was developed based on a demand from 1928. In 1930, Krupp and Rheinmetall manufactured two prototypes each. The illustrated vehicle is one of the Rheinmetall prototypes. After the testing of the four vehicles in Russia, several modifications were made to the running gears. Around 1933, at least one of the Rheinmetall vehicles got a completely new running gear. A serial production was never started. (Image from the technical manual)
