The development of the Räumer S by Krupp goes back to a requirement of the Ordnance Department (In. 5) from 16th September 1940. Mines should be brought to explode with this vehicle without threatening the crew. The completition of the test vehicle delayed until late 1944. Towards the end of war, the vehicle was captured by allied forces at the Hillersleben testing ground. (Photo: NARA)
