The Funkkraftwagen - radio motor vehicle - (Kfz. 61/1) mit Einheitsfahrgestell für l. Lkw. - with standard chassis for light lorry, abbreviated Fu. Kw. (Kfz. 61/1), was a rare vehicle. Contrary to the Fu. Kw. (Kfz. 61), it had an additional roof antenna. This version is proven by data given in D 600.

In this photo one can see another vehicle of the same variant. Note the details of the attachment of the antenna instalation on the roof. On the left rear are mountings for an additional radio mast.

Because the production of the l. gl. Lkw. was stopped in late 1940, alternatives were searched. As replacement for the Funkkraftwagen - radio motor vehicle - (Kfz. 61/1), a series of vehicles with geschlossener Sonderaufbau - closed superstructure - was made based on the Opel Blitz 3.6-36 S. Most probably, these vehicles were also designated as Funkkraftwagen (Kfz. 61/1).
