Only little information could be found about the mittlerer Flakkraftwagen - medium anti aircraft motor vehicle - (Kfz. 410). It was manufactured in three versions and was based on the 4.5 ton lorries with all-wheel drive. Most probably, the Kfz. 410 is the self propelled anti aircraft gun based on the 4.5 ton lorry chassis. These could be proven based on the Büssing-NAG 500 A, 4500 A and the Mercedes-Benz L 4500 A. At first these vehicles had an open driver’s cab. Most probably starting in late 1942 the vehicles received an armoured driver’s cab. As armament, the 2 cm Flakvierling 38 and the 3.7 cm Flak 36 were used. The 5 cm Flak 41 was tested, too.
