Schlauchtender (Kfz. 344)

The Schlauchtender - hose tender - (Kfz. 344), abbreviated St. (Kfz. 344), had a crew of eight. The illustrated model with open driver’s cab was made in 1938/39. Such vehicles were used on military airfields of the Luftwaffe. Until 1940/41, no further vehicles seem to be procured. Only the Mercedes-Benz L 3750 cold be proven as chassis. (Image from D 600)

Beginning in 1939, the Schlauchtender (Kfz. 344) had a closed driver’s cab. Hoses, hose connections and other equipment was stored in the lockers on both sides of the crew compartment.
