The Fernschreibkraftwagen - telex motor vehicle - (Kfz. 15), abbreviated Fernschr. Kw. (Kfz. 15), Fernschreibanschlußkraftwagen - telex connection motor vehicle - (Kfz. 15), abbreviated Fernschr. Anschl. Kw. (Kfz. 15) and Fernsprechkraftwagen - telephone motor vehicle - (Kfz. 15), abbreviated Fsp. Kw. (Kfz. 15), replaced similar vehicles like the Nachr. Kw. (Kfz. 15) and the Fsp. Kw. (Kfz. 23) beginning in 1943.

The installation of the simple constructed equipment box of the Fernschr. Kw. (Kfz. 15), which was installed in place of the forward crew bench, was described in D 776. A mounting for a cable drum was placed on top of the equipment box. The installed cable drum can be seen in the image. Most probably, the Fernschr. Anschl. Kw. (Kfz. 15) and Fsp. Kw. (Kfz. 15) were constructured in a similar way. The image from D 600 illustrates the Fsp. Kw. (Kfz. 15).
