Pontonwagen (Pf. 11)

One half-pontoon of the Brückengerät B – bridge equipment B – and other bridge parts were transported on each Pontonwagen (Pf. 11) – pontoon wagon.

Fully loaded, the Pontonwagen (Pf. 11) had a total weight of about 5 tons. It had a dead weight of 1.9 tons. The Pionierfahrzeuge 10, 11 and 12 were mainly intended for motorised towing. Nevertheless, parts for the towing by horses were available for every wagon.

Further bridge parts are visible on this Pontonwagen (Pf. 11). Normally, these parts are covered with the half-pontoon. Steel beams, a bridge section and other parts were transported besides the visible square planks.
