The Werferkarren für 10 cm Nebelwerfer - mortar-cart for 10 cm smoke mortar - (Nbf. 1) and the Munitionskarren für 10 cm Nebelwerfer - ammunition cart for 10 cm smoke mortar - (Nbf. 1/1) were officially introduced in February 1938 (A.H.M. 1938, Blatt 4 from 21st February 1938, No. 103). Most probably, they were in use by the troop much earlier. Both handcarts were foldable for minimum space requirements when they were stored on a motor vehicle. The illustrated cart is a Werferkarren für 10 cm Nebelwerfer (Nbf. 1). Beginning in 1939, the Nbf. 1 and Nbf. 1/1 were replaced by the Nbf. 2.
