The leichte Fersprechwagen – light telephone wagon – (Nf. 2) consisted of a Vorderwagen – anterior wagon – and a Hinterwagen – rear wagon. It was towed by four horses. Two Nf. 2 were available in the Nachrichtenstaffel – signals squad – of a Feldhaubitzbatterie – battery of field howitzers.

This leichter Fersprechwagen (Nf. 2) was photographed during a military training in Munster. The open doors enables a view into the interior.

There were Schneekufen - snow skids - available as trial for the leichten Fernsprechwagen (Nf. 2). The construction and the usage were specified in the D 707/5 Merkblatt über Anfertigung und Gebrauch von Schlitten und Schneekufen für Fernsprechtrupps from 1st November 1941. (Image from D 707/5)
