The Waffen-Akja – weapons Akja – was similar to the leichte Akja but it had an open rear. Light infantry weapons like mortars (a 5 cm le GrW can be seen in the image) and machine guns could be transported with it. Machine guns could be fired directly from the Waffen-Akja. (Image from D 72)
