Panjeschlitten - rural sledge “Drowni”

Civilian sledges were generally designated by the Wehrmacht as Panjeschlitten regardless of the size or construction. In Russia, rural sledges can be divided into two main construction types, the Rozwalni and the illustrated Drowni.

The rural sledge Drowni was a siple sledge with platform for the transportation of materials. This unit of the Wehrmacht used several Drowni for the transportation of fuel barrels.
|

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Because of the simple, flat construction the Drowni could easily be converted. Equipped with a simple box body, this Drowni was used for the transportation of Speisenträgern - food containers.
